You can make it with less sugar if you are diabetic. You can make nonfat, low fat or whole milk frozen yogurt. Whatever you need to suit your diet.

First let’s start with the basics. A pure and rich vanilla frozen yogurt.

How to Make Frozen Yogurt: A Basic Recipe

Use good quality whole milk yogurt such as Stonyfield Organic.
Use the vanilla extract in this recipe if you want vanilla frozen yogurt.

Ingredients:
3 cups strained yogurt or Greek-style yogurt (use Fage 0% if you want zero fat like Pinkberry’s recipe)
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Directions:
Mix together the yogurt, sugar, and vanilla (if using). Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Freeze in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

This frozen yogurt is as healthy as it is good.
I have no problem if my kids eat it everyday. I know what is in it and that it is good for them. It has all of the health benefits of homemade yogurt, I do sweeten it. They love it.
